PATOU
The adventure began in 1914 when Jean Patou launched his eponymous brand. A visionary, the designer wanted to free women from their shackles: corset-free dresses, sportswear, shortened skirts, low-cut backs, all of these were part of Patou's DNA. After his sudden death in 1936, the House was weakened before integrating the great names of couture: Karl Lagerfeld, Michel Goma, Jean Paul Gaultier, Angelo Tarlazzi, Christian Lacroix, then joining the LVMH group in 2018. Guillaume Henry was then appointed artistic director, modernising the label by distilling his taste for delicate and accessible ready-to-wear style. Guided by the desire to dress real women, he is sensitive to the details that sublimate reality and breathe "the extraordinary into the ordinary"..
